Whether you are revisiting a particular lift, exercise, yoga pose or whatever sort of skill for the thousandth time or giving it your first go, it is always helpful to start with (or occassionally return to) the basics. Put your ego aside and try making the pose or exercise as easy possible. From this point of supposed ease, attempt to make the practice difficult through—internal—muscular activation. When it becomes easy again, level up or return to loaded variations.
